Parking
Students must request a parking permit to park in a school parking lot. A student must present a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance to the campus office to be eligible for a parking permit. So long as space is available, parking permits may be issued throughout the year.
● Purchase a current year parking permit for $5.00 and display it properly in the vehicle driven to school. If a student drives a vehicle other than the one originally registered with the office, he or she must report it to the office and display the proper permit. Students are responsible for the security and content of any vehicle he or she parks on campus.
● All students must park properly in designated lot on the north side of the high school building. Any exceptions must be approved by campus administration.
● All students are to park appropriately when entering school property and exit the vehicle in a timely manner. Students are not allowed to remain in vehicles when arriving or at any other time during the instructional day.
● Do not loiter in or around vehicles before or after school.
● Do not return to or drive vehicle during the school day without permission.
● Drive safely when entering and leaving the parking lot, school zone, and surrounding areas. Students will not be permitted to:
o Speed
o Double-park
o Park across a white or yellow line
o Park in a fire lane
o Pass a bus when it is loading/unloading students
● Students not in compliance with driving and parking policies will lose the privilege of parking on school premises.
Students may be subject to disciplinary action for violation of these rules. The district may tow cars that are parked in violation of these rules.
Parking During Construction
Due to construction and space limitations at this time, students should be flexible about where they park and follow administrative directives.
